EPROMAP participates in the recapitalization of the Pinar del Río housing fund after the passage of Hurricane Ian

The Metal Production Company of Havana, EPROMAP, is present in the recovery of the housing fund of the western provinces of the country after the passage of Hurricane Ian at the end of September, which caused catastrophic damage, mainly in the neighboring province from Pinar del Rio.

The Company has more than 18 years of recognized experience in the production, assembly and marketing of products and systems based on metal, wood and PVC carpentry, including structures and modular elements with quality manufacturing and competitive prices.

In response to the urgent need for housing for the victims after the incident, the country's top leadership gave the Ministry of Construction the task of solving the housing demand in the provinces of Pinar del Río and Havana.

Faced with the challenge posed, the construction forces of EPROMAP and the Project Company for Various Industries, EPROYIV, stepped forward and worked together to provide technical solutions in wood carpentry to guarantee the rapid construction of homes for those affected by the weather event. 

This solution already has the first finished prototype modules of 58 m2. Their assembly began on October 26 and they are now ready for delivery to those affected by the hurricane.

The assembly of the houses is carried out jointly with the work force of the Pinar del Río housing program, as part of the services provided by the Company of technical assistance and training for said project.

It is planned to manufacture 100 more housing modules to meet the needs of hundreds of families from Pinar del Río and 23 homes for the town of Batabanó in Havana.
