Granting of the status of "Labor Prowess" to workers and groups of the Construction Sector by May 1

Within the festivities of the day, the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba, on April 26, granted the status of "Labor Prowess" to several workers and labor groups of CUBACONS for the work carried out in the modernization of the strategic work Steel Company " José Martí ” from Havana, better known as “ Antillana de Acero ”, and which is considered an essential link for the development of the country's large-scale metallurgical process.

The event was presided over by the Commander of the Revolution and Vice Minister of the Government, Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba, of the Council of State and Secretary General of the Central of Cuban Workers, Luis Torres Iribar, member of the Central Committee and 1st Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Havana, the Minister of Construction René Mesa Villafaña and Eloy Álvarez Martínez, Minister of Industries.

That day, the Company of Metallic Productions of Havana, EPROMAP, was recognized with the status of "Labor Prowess Worker" with collague Ciro Alarcón Alarcón, from the Specialized Assembly Brigade of the Base Business Unit of Metallic Productions, as the leader of the group that worked on the assembly of scaffolding at a height of 40 to 60 meters for the performance of work in the electrical steelworks. A colleague of vast experience who represents a steel-tempered team that for months has done a commendable job in this colossal work.
