Popular Exercise of Actions in Disaster Situations “Meteoro 2022”

The Metal Production Company of Havana, EPROMAP and its subordinate UEB, carried out the Popular Exercise of Actions in Disaster Situations "Meteoro 2022", in salute to the 60th Anniversary of the constitution of the Civil Defense. Among the activities carried out are:

• Forecast study of cyclone activity for 2022 in the North Atlantic.
• Specification of Directive No. 1 and the "Measures to improve actions in the Prevention of disaster risk to minimize them", both contained in the PRRD of the entity.
• Study of the dangers of a sanitary origin, specifically the damage caused by Covid-19, an infectious-contagious disease that has affected us so much, as well as the reinforcement of sanitary measures to minimize its effect on our Company.

In a second moment, as a practical activity, the Company works on the repair and maintenance of the "Concepción Arenal" School, product of the collapse that occurred due to the unfortunate accident at the Hotel Saratoga, on May 6. The works carried out are:

• Assembly of aluminum and wood carpentry.
• Replacement of wooden deck planks.
• Scaffolding movement.
