Scientific - Technical Conference of the EPROMAP 2020 Base Forum

On the Cuban Science Day, this past January 15, the Scientific - Technical Conference of the EPROMAP Base Forum was held with the representation of the three Base Business Units and through videoconference with the BBU Producciones Varias.

The presentations presented covered solutions proposed by various management areas that ranged from the repair, recovery and start-up of machines and tools, the design of Management Systems and the evaluation of risk factors and Computerization and communications in the company.

The Leovigildo Sierra Workshop of the BBU Producciones Metálicas presented the solution "Manufacture of an extractor for the recovery of the Press Break from the 'Leovigildo Sierra' Workshop" by the technicians Manuel Ignacio Ballester and Iván Gómez Mainulet for the repair, recovery and start-up of a Press Break that is part of a set of machinery used to shape solid pieces, mainly metals. Such machinery ensures the efficient functionality of the workshop and enables productivity and compliance with the production plan. For his part, Technician Giovanni Mena García from the Armando Mestres Workshop of the Carpintería BBU presented the solution for a Italian-made motorcycle, which was put back into operation and its main function is to supply pressurized air for the cleaning of equipment during and at the end of the work. Of great importance were the two presentations, since the recovery of these equipment has a direct and indirect impact on production performance as they are fundamental machines and tools in workshops.

Among the presentations presented by the Development Department was the "Diagnosis of Telecommunications Assembly and Configuration of PLATEL Videoconference" by the Msc. David E. Domonech Castillo, which allows improving the communications infrastructure with all the company's UBBs and with the CUBACONS business system, taking into account the importance of achieving timely and expeditious communication that helps decision-making and that contribute to the saving of energy carriers.

In addition, were presented the presentations "Technical Project for the development of the EPROMAP web portal" and the "Impact of Social Networks as a marketing tool in EPROMAP" presented by Eng. Dayviana Díaz Vichy. Two actions that comply with the Business Communication Strategy and with which it has been possible to expand the scope of the corporate image on Internet by allowing the use of these tools such as digital marketing, in addition to the benefits they bring when guaranteeing the availability of the information that the company displays on the web. The “Proposal and design of the Environmental Management System for EPROMAP, based on the study and diagnosis carried out by the GAMMA Consultant” was presented by Technician Francisco González Martínez, which was carried out by applying the Cuban standard and the Cleaner Production Methodology, as well as the definition of the procedures and indicators that contribute to achieving improvements in the environmental indicators, in the locations of the Base Business Units and their surroundings based on the identification of the main aspects detected in the application of the various instruments of corporate environmental management. Due to its importance, this study will guarantee the sustainable development of the Company, allowing the opening of new markets with greater reliability in the different processes, in the services provided and in the products that are offered.

The Human Capital Department presented the "Study of Environmental Occupational Risks" by Technician Rafael Ramírez Jomarrón and the trained Eng. Yenis Lorena Torres Peralta. The study and diagnosis will allow the adoption of measures that significantly minimize the direct contamination of the operators of our workshops and the population environment of the different entities, so that the social benefit that is generated will favor the health of all.
